A new festival experience on the banks of the River Trent
Newark Traditions Festival
Coming in 2018 - after the success of the inaugural traditions festival in July 2017 we are doing it all again but with additional events including sing-arounds, music sessions and workshops. The rapper tour is on for Friday night and there'll be dancing in the town with even more venues than before. All this, not to mention the campsite with the most superlative view of any UK festival!
20th – 22nd July 2018
Based in the beautiful and historic market town of Newark in Nottinghamshire, this new festival incorporates many aspects of the cultural heritage that make the East Midlands such a special place to visit. The town, with its castle and iconic market place lies on the River Trent, one of Englands longest and most important waterways.
The festival, enjoyed its first year in 2017 showcasing traditional dance, music sessions, song sessions and local folk plays in some of the towns historic pubs together with historic re-enactment and the excellent market . Visitors to the event in 2018 can expect a weekend of living heritage in a truly unique setting and will take away memories of a special place at a special time.
